A student worksheet to use for each sound that allows for them to follow along and complete each activity. Lesson Plans/Guides which explains how to appropriately use the slides/student worksheet. This is something I have used in whole group (primary grades) or as an intervention in the intermediate grades. This makes small reading groups

Experience

I have been teaching for 7 years now! The majority of my experience is in 4th grade which I loved! After 6 years in 4th, I moved on to teach 5th grade at the same school. I have always taught at a Title 1 school with the majority of my students being bilingual and a large population of students with special needs.

Teaching style

I teach using a lot of technology including slideshows for students to reference. My students are on technology part of the time but I really believe in trying to implement paper/pencil experiences as well to keep them grounded, especially in literacy. Reading an actual book is a priceless skill. I believe in creating strong relationships with students as well in setting strong boundaries. I also believe in teaching SEL skills throughout the year and incorporating these into various parts of the day. I am constantly striving to continue learning myself in order to best support my students and create experiences for them that are rooted in research and best practices.

My own education history
