About the store
I'm an OT with over 20 years of experience and nearly 5 in the telehealth setting. I'm currently conducting research in movement and learning, and have spent the last summer working with typical to atypical (attention deficit and motor delayed) children on moving their bodies, planning movement, attending to group tasks, activating the cerebellum, and engaging higher level thinking skills. Many of these products are the fruit of my work! I have found videos to be extremely helpful in the telehealth setting, particularly with high caseloads. All children in videos have been approved/signed by parents to promote Movement Counts and all videos are watermarked. Please adhere to the single user agreement. I hope these videos are as helpful to you as they have been to me (in my practice)!

Movement Counts
In this bundle you will get streaming videos so they require logging into TPT account to view. If you are using a platform which doesn't support screen share well, I simply view them on my phone and it works great (hold up to laptop camera for student to view). These videos will become so valuable to your practice. Included are 1. Cerebellum Exercises: Use this video of 8 cerebellar exercises to jumpstart your sessions. The cerebellum is the key to balance and also motor control. 2). Rhythmic

Here is the full theraputty video which also includes scissors use. Students may use play doh for most of these exercises if theraputty is not available. My clients never get tired of this video, and it sure saves me from worrying about proper camera angles and having to model these exercises over and over. This will become a staple in your practice. You'll have to pause the video at points since the pace is quick. This is a streaming video which necessitates logging into TPT account to view.

Rhythmic Movements Physical Occupational Therapy Distance Learning Telehealth

If you've never heard of "rhythmic movements" google Kerstin Linde who is considered the founder. These movements relate to reflex integration and are therapeutic for motor development especially when done individually for 2 minutes a day. It's recommended that clients do the movements slowly, focusing more on precision. There are five movements introduced here. I use these with my clients and have given the movements my own names. The movements are not described or explained, rather they are pr

Reflex Integration Telehealth Distance Learning Physical Occupational Therapy

This streaming video addresses reflex integration of STNR, ATNR, Moro, Galant and Babkin. It does not address reflex integration testing which would be hard to do virtually. I use this video as a warm up to get my clients moving and my philosophy on reflex integration is this: all of these movements will not hurt these children (unless there is some physical reason eg joint instability). In the process of completing these exercises, reflexes which are not integrated will be integrated! This is a

Use this video of 8 cerebellar exercises to jumpstart your sessions. The cerebellum is the key to balance and also motor control. Some studies are finding ADHD (attention and focus) linked with cerebellum dysfunction. Look for a part 2 video in the works. I love using this video to keep things fresh and new, and to work with many of my students on balance and coordination (before diving into fine motor or focused work). This video requires logging into TPT account before streaming video (either

Animal Walks Motor Planning telehealth occupational physical therapy distance

There are 10 animal walks here. Not all relate to animals, but I have titled the video that way because we all think of "motor planning" when we hear "animal walks." Motor planning is what this video is all about. The client can imitate all 10, or just use a few for each session particularly as warm ups. I use this video and clients really enjoy it. Actual children doing the walks (to the sounds on the video) provides some excitement to sessions. Plus I don't have to worry about camera angles or

Pep up your telehealth sessions with these 10 theraband exercises which include upper and lower body workouts, along with balance. I use this video ALL the time in my telehealth practice. Here's my blurb on Movement Counts' videos and their awesome impact in teletherapy settings: 1). They really help to decrease therapist burn out/fatigue (eliminate the need for you the therapist to do the exercises over and over with the client.) 2). The people in the videos are actual kids. 3). It's fun and

Enjoy this free theraputty video for telehealth use. I have been using videos for nearly 5 years in my telehealth practice and I highly recommend them! Here is my blurb on the benefits of Movement Counts' videos: 1. Using kid videos instead of only adult modeled videos makes all the difference in the world. 2. You don't have to worry about getting the right camera angles all the time. 3. It reduces therapist fatigue - use these videos to jumpstart your sessions, add some pep into your sessio
