Thank you so much for stopping by my Teachers Pay Teachers site! I am a fifth grade teacher in Arizona. This will be my fifth year teaching in total, and I am so excited for this school year in particular. I'll have the opportunity to teach students I've taught in second and fourth grade. This is a 4th grade multiplication review of traditional, distributive, area, and box/matrix methods. Students can practice drag and drop and typing their responses.

Partner Round-Off (to the thousandths)
This partner game has students work in pairs to create numbers from the hundreds to the thousandths place. Then, the partner rolls a dice to find out which place value to round to. The players check one another's work and attempt to win the most points at the end of the sheet. You win a point by getting it correct or by stumping your partner. Students practice rounding decimals while having fun!

Goal Setting Desk Posters
Helping students create goals they can achieve can be just the motivation children need! When success follows it boosts their confidence. Our end goal is state testing and improving their scores. What about short term goals? I use these mini desk posters for students to create goals for benchmark testing, formatives, assessments, etc. 4 different mini posters, and 3 different font sets.

Classroom Behavior Bingo
Use this project for positive behavior, time on task, kindness, or just being an all around good student! I laminate my game boards and allow students to use a dry erase marker to mark off each piece earned. I use card stock/tag paper for the game board pieces and laminate them as well. Students must turn in their game board and all the collected pieces to earn a BINGO!

This resource is a great addition to your classroom management repertoire. Many of my students-including some of my more challenging students- would work extra hard if I told them I'd send home a positive note. This often worked better than other rewards they could earn. It's such a simple, yet effective, way to build positive relationships with your students, and to increase communication with parents!

Teaching style
My personal teaching philosophy and practice center on my role as a facilitator of individual student growth and self-discovery. I encourage students to embrace their natural curiosities as a guide to meaningful learning. I hold a sincere belief in every student’s ability - my students know this. My classroom environment is one of mutual respect, which fosters reciprocal learning and inspiration. My students and I are a team. We focus on community building and establishing a solid academic and emotional support system for students. We grow together.
