Moving Minds Forward

The goal of this activity is for students to interact with one another and learn about their classmates in a fun and engaging way. Students will move around the room to find classmates who match the descriptions on their bingo card. They then fill out the name of the classmate who fits the description and the name of the item or activity that applies. This handout is formatted to be used as a cut and paste page for Interactive Student Notebooks. One page contains two copies of the handout (1/2 page each). It uses the metaphor of independent clauses as superheroes and dependent clauses as babies to explain the difference between simple, compound, and complex sentences.
