This is a basic introduction to the concept of graphs, specifically line graphs, bar graphs, and pie charts. The GONotes are hand-drawn and pair with the Slideshow. Students will have to spin the notes to write in the correct spaces, forcing engagement.
These notes on graphing are made to go with my PowerPoint on graphing. They are hand-drawn and follow along with the PowerPoint. Both are free in my TPT store!
This is a basic note-taking presentation on three types of graphs: Line, bar, and pie charts. The last few slides provide a formative assessment to see if your students can tell which type of graph to use with different kinds of data. This presentation pairs with my hand-made Graphically Organized Notes on graphs, which can also be found for free in my TPT store!

Teaching style
I prefer to teach my lessons by a combination of lecture and discussion. Notes are given a the beginning of class, and some sort of reinforcement is used throughout the rest of the class period. I always try to pull in real-world experiences to compliment and showcase the content I am teaching. Labs can provide those experiences, as can normal every-day phenomena.
Awards & shining teacher moments
Lead Physical Science Teacher for my district: I create the Common Formative Assessments for our district and lead break-out sessions during our monthly PD. I prefer collaborative professional development where all teachers get to contribute to creating content that will actually help them in their classrooms.
