This is a child-friendly version of a popular word game. The aim is to find as many different words as possible from 9 available letters. In this game I have created 199 anagrams of child friendly words. Each game comes with a clue to help the children find the 9-letter word. The clue styles vary from crossword clues, definitions and synonyms. I originally developed this game to help build vocabulary but the biggest improvement by far has been in the children's spelling. This is a display called the Fantasticat The cat's belly is divided up into 32 segments. Each needs to be written on by members of your class with things that they are fantastic at. E.g. I am fantastic at gymnastics. I am fantastic at singing. I am fantastic at being a good friend. Once filled, colour the cat in and mount on the wall for a fantastic, collaborative and confidence-boosting display.
