I was teaching 3rd and 4th grade math and science in French at a public French immersion school in Fairfax county Va, Now I teach 1st grade at an all boys public school in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. I would consider them all ESL learners

I sing a lot and use my undergrad degree of studio art to draw with the students to help tell stories of science and math.

We're teachers, isn't the only honor in what we are doing and the only award is the chocolate around Christmas time. :-)

Received my undergrad degree in studio art with a focus in printmaking, photography, and ancient Asian art history. Also a minor in French. Received my Masters in ESL and then later added teaching endorsements in: computer science, elementary education, middle school science, and middle school social studies.

I go rock climbing twice a week, I ride my unicycle for my students at the end of the year and I sing the times tables with my students all the time. I knitted my first quilt last year and got my license to drive a motorcycle. I'm trying to learn the violin and I'm taking Arabic classes for fun. I was born in the U.S but grew up in rural Ontario Canada. I really like guacamole and homemade herb breads.
