RADE is a strategy for writing that I use with my students to enable them to write better paragraphs. Students often don't know where to begin when they are asked to answer comprehension questions, or write a short paragraph. RADE is a great model for them to use in all writing. They should Restate and Answer the question (typically in one sentence), Provide details from the text, and then explain how the details fit/explain the evidence.

After teaching lessons on Biomes, students get a chance to write about what they know. The document is editable to add more instruction, or shorten or lengthen the assignment as needed.

A more fancy version of my free version. I laminate them and can use them in small group instruction, write on them with dry erase markers. The thumbnails are not accurate for some reason. The posters are in a different font with proper capitalization.

Print and laminate to be able to write on. Super helpful! The picture looks weird, but they will download and print on one page each.

This is a simple way to track your classes progress in Read to Self. Nothing fancy, but a great visual.
