Zapped Path: Simplifying Rational Expressions Virtual Escape Room

This escape room has students find common factors or excluded values to move through a maze of answers and escape the zapped path! Any wrong answer will require you to restart so be careful! A common factor is what would cancel out or could be factored out of both the numerator and denominator. An excluded value is what needs to be excluded from the problem because it will make the denominator equal zero. Directions: Students will be given a worksheet with questions and space to find the answ

Nuclear Power Plant Operator: Systems of Equations Virtual Escape Room

This escape room allows students to practice their skills of solving systems of equations and progress with only correct answers. The escape room has 3 waves so that there is one for each method of solving systems of equations. (Substitution, Elimination and Graphing) There are even two timed bonus rounds where you must answer the questions before a full nuclear meltdown! Directions: Students will be given a worksheet with the questions that has space to solve each question and write answers. S

Archimedes Catapults Graphing Quadratics Worksheet

Students will use their understanding of quadratics to explain Archimedes battle plan. Students will need to factor quadratic equations to find the x-intercepts and see which catapult legion is aiming for which target. This is a fun way to review graphing parabolas! Editable copy with key! Directions: Students will find the y-intercept and then factor to find x-intercepts of given quadratic equations. When graphed, they can see which catapult "legion" is aiming for which target. The last questio

Teaching style

I do my very best to make math feel simple and help students feel confident. We often make kids feel that math is hard and I want students to see they can be successful in the world of mathematics.

My own education history

I have a degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education as well as a Masters' Degree in Curriculum Design and Instruction
