Teaching style

Each lesson I create is intentionally structured to build deep mathematical understanding and lasting skills: ★ SCAFFOLDED & ALIGNED: Lessons gradually increase in rigor, ensuring mastery at each step. ★ STUDENT-CENTERED APPROACH: A balanced blend of direct instruction, guided partner practice, and independent work, allowing students multiple opportunities ("at-bats") to build confidence and mastery. ★ DIVERSE PRACTICE: Abundant procedural fluency exercises paired with challenging, high-level "Depth of Knowledge" questions. ★ ASSESSMENT-DRIVEN: Materials designed to reflect the standards-based expectations, so students are prepared for standardized testing and real-world problem-solving.
