About the store

Experience

I have experience in the fields of mental health, social work, and education. I have taught government, economics, and geography for the past fourteen years.

Teaching style

I blend styles such as lectures, student-led discussions, and self-paced learning. Most of my lectures and presentations are interactive and include many external sources.

Awards & shining teacher moments

In 2025, my students consistently outperformed state and global averages on multiple AP® exams—using the same instructional strategies and resources I offer here on TPT. In AP Human Geography (freshmen), 87% of 23 students earned a score of 3 or higher (mean = 3.78). In AP U.S. Government & Politics, which I taught across three sections, 72% of 61 students passed with a grade of 3 or higher, and in AP Comparative Government, which I administered as a test-only course, the pass rate was 83% (12 students; mean = 3.25). I also administered test-only AP exams in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Psychology, and African American Studies—with 100% of students scoring a 3 or higher in every case, and average scores ranging from 4.0 to 5.0. These exceptional outcomes demonstrate the strength of my scaffolded supports, self-paced resources, and exam-prep tools—many of which are now available in this store. If you're looking for pacing guides, scaffolds, reviews, or complete unit content, you’ll find teacher-tested, student-proven materials designed to build confidence and maximize scores. Additional biographical information

After working many years in the mental health profession, I decided on a career change and pursued my interest in helping students obtain information in the classroom. Now, I teach AP Government and Politics, Human Geography, AP Psychology, Gifted Government, and Gifted Geography, and I am credentialed for licensure to have a private practice as a therapist. Additionally, I teach college psychology courses as an adjunct professor, combining my expertise in mental health with my passion for education.
