Experience

I am a middle school ELA and Science teacher with 4 years of classroom experience, including one year in 8th grade and three years in 7th grade. I come from a teaching family, and education has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I currently specialize in creating engaging, standards-aligned novel studies—especially for middle school learners—but I also develop resources across content areas, including creative math worksheets, science labs, literacy activities, and skill-building lessons. My goal is to design clear, classroom-ready materials that support teachers, strengthen student comprehension, and make learning more meaningful.

Teaching style

My teaching style blends structured, visual learning with a student-centered approach. I design lessons around the exact questions my students ask, using their thinking to guide the worksheets and activities I create. I believe in hands-on learning, meaningful tech integration—especially through Google tools like Google Forms—and creating resources that meet students where they are. Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is an essential part of my classroom. I provide multiple pathways for students to understand content, whether through written responses, creative drawings, visual organizers, or deeper text connections. I incorporate explicit instruction, clear modeling, and visually polished organizers to help students access material confidently. Critical thinking, engagement, and creativity are at the heart of what I do. I encourage students to interpret texts in their own way, make personal connections, and explore ideas that matter to them. My resources reflect this approach: clean layouts, step-by-step guidance, flexible formats, and higher-order thinking questions woven throughout each lesson to support learners at every level.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I have received multiple “Highly Effective” teacher ratings from administrators and colleagues, along with early-career recognition for outstanding teaching performance. At my school, I lead the annual science fair, coordinating student projects and schoolwide participation—one of my favorite leadership roles each year. Before entering education, I spent years as a professional esports coach. The transition from coaching to teaching is what sparked my passion for working with students, and many of the skills I developed—strategy, communication, motivation, and mentoring—continue to shape my classroom today.

My own education history

I began my education journey at Victor Valley College, where I earned my Associate’s Degree in Liberal Studies with a focus on the humanities. I then transferred to California State University, San Bernardino, completing my Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in mathematics and graduating with a 4.0 GPA. I continued on to Azusa Pacific University, where I earned my Master’s Degree in Education and Technology along with an additional credential program. I am currently completing my Clear Credential through the induction process as I continue to refine and strengthen my teaching practice.

Additional biographical information

Outside the classroom, I am passionate about fitness and have competed in weightlifting for several years. Before becoming a teacher, I also competed professionally in esports—most notably in Fortnite. That competitive background shaped my drive, discipline, and ability to connect with students who share similar interests. My transition from esports coaching to teaching played a huge role in discovering how much I love education. The mentorship, strategy, and teamwork required in coaching naturally carried over into the classroom, and I bring that same energy into the resources I create. I design materials because I believe students deserve learning experiences that feel creative, engaging, and visually meaningful. Worksheets shouldn’t be boring—style, structure, and thoughtful design can transform a lesson and keep students invested. My goal is to provide resources that make learning enjoyable for students and easier for teachers.
