About the store
I bring over 14 years of experience in education, beginning my career as a paraprofessional before moving into the classroom as a teacher. For the past 11 years, I have taught students in grades K–3, building a strong foundation in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional learning during the most critical years of child development. Beyond my work in the classroom, I have served as a member of my school’s Building Leadership Team, collaborating with colleagues to support school improvement initiatives and student success. I have also had the opportunity to pilot newly implemented district programs, helping to refine curriculum and instructional practices for broader adoption. My passion lies in creating engaging, supportive learning environments where young learners thrive, and in partnering with families and colleagues to ensure every child has the tools they need to succeed.

Experience

Teaching style

My teaching style is student-centered, engaging, and supportive. I believe in meeting each child where they are, using a balance of structure and creativity to keep learning fun while building strong foundational skills. I prioritize hands-on practice, consistency, and positive reinforcement, ensuring that every student feels confident and capable. Collaboration with families is also key in my approach, as I value the home-school connection in fostering lifelong learning.

My own education history

I am a proud graduate of Wichita State University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree and graduated cum laude. I continued my studies at Fort Hays State University, earning a master’s degree in Instructional Technology, which has equipped me with skills to integrate technology meaningfully into instruction and enhance student learning.
