This booklet is aligned with the Math Common Core Standards for First Grade. It can be used with the Go Math! Series. It has been used during the BUILD block of Math time. It reinforces areas of place value, base tens and ones, related facts and many other concepts.

The Book Report is a tool used to help young students organize information about a story to write a several paragraph retell. It includes a spot for a student's opinion about the story. The graphic organizer included can be utilized with illustrations or sentences. I use the engageNY Modules and this loosely fits into some of the skills units.

Connect Four is a first grade activity for studying high frequency words or Words of the Week (W.O.W.). There is an array of sight word activities to choose from. The presentation keeps the work organized and meaningful. This is basically an independent activity to be done during Daily Five or for homework.
