About the store

Experience

I’m Mrs. Clau — an IB Business Management teacher, mom, and lifelong learner with over 15 years of experience in education and leadership. I’ve guided hundreds of students to develop strong reflection skills, self-awareness, and a love for learning. My classroom blends academic rigor with empathy, celebrating every small step of growth.

Teaching style

My teaching style is hands-on, reflective, and rooted in growth mindset principles. I believe students learn best when they can see their progress and connect effort with achievement. Each of my resources helps teachers nurture confidence, curiosity, and purpose — one activity at a time.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Throughout my teaching journey, one of my greatest honors has been being chosen, year after year, by my students to represent them in special occasions — a gesture that speaks louder than any formal award. Most recently, I was given the Seniors’ Jacket by my graduating class, a symbol of trust and appreciation that has meant more to me than any diploma or certification earned in my nearly 30 years of work and study. Moments like these remind me why I teach: to make a lasting difference in the hearts of my students.

My own education history

I hold a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Temple University – Fox School of Business (Philadelphia), completed in dual partnership with Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Cali, Colombia). I also earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management from Purdue University (West Lafayette, IN), with minors in Production and French. Over the years, I’ve complemented my formal education with certifications and professional development that connect business, education, and well-being — areas I deeply value as an educator. Some of my most recent learning experiences include: • MAP Growth Insights for Latin American Schools – Red Ecuatoriana de Pedagogía (May 2025) • The Science of Well-Being for Teens – Yale University, Professor Laurie Santos (August 2024) • The Art of Storytelling – IESE Business School, Greg Burke (May 2024) • IB Online Workshop – Business Management (Category 2) – IB Professional Development (August 2023) These experiences continue to shape my mission: to bridge the worlds of business and education, helping students and teachers celebrate learning through purpose and reflection.

Additional biographical information

In recent years, I have devoted myself fully to education — not only to my students, but also to supporting my fellow teachers through collaboration and workshops. Sharing experiences, strategies, and inspiration with other educators brings me as much joy as seeing my students grow. My classes are fun, hands-on, and experiential, turning theory into real learning through activities, challenges, and role-playing. I believe that education should be meaningful and joyful — for both students and teachers. For those 60 minutes in class, my goal is to keep every student truly present, engaged, and proud of what they accomplish. Seeing their eyes light up when they realize how much they’ve learned is the best reward any teacher could ask for.
