Currently, I serve as a Lead Teacher and Instructional Coach, where I support fellow educators in bringing out the best in their classrooms. I know firsthand the challenges teachers face, and I'm here to share ready-to-use, standards-aligned tools that save you time and keep your students engaged. Whether you're looking for creative math centers, interactive science lessons, or classroom-tested strategies, you’ll find resources here designed with love, experience, and a whole lot of energy. Operation Day: Add/Sub/Multi/Division Review

In our “Operation Room” activity, students will become little math doctors and perform “surgery” by diagnosing each word problem to determine which operation is needed: addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division. Students will carefully read each problem, identify the correct operation, and solve it to help “save the patient.” This engaging hands-on activity encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and a deeper understanding of math operations in a fun and interactive way!

Teaching style

I believe learning should be a blend of engaging, fun, and rigorous experiences that challenge students while keeping them excited to come back for more. My teaching style focuses on creating hands-on, interactive lessons that encourage critical thinking, creativity, and a genuine love for learning. I strive to design activities that not only meet standards but also spark curiosity. When students are engaged, they're more likely to retain what they learn. Whether it's a math game, a science investigation, or a collaborative project, I make sure every resource has a clear purpose, a touch of joy, and high expectations.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Throughout my career, I’ve been honored to receive recognition for my passion and dedication to teaching. My lesson designs have been acknowledged by the school board for their creativity, effectiveness, and impact on student learning. I’ve also been proudly nominated for Teacher of the Year a reflection of the energy, care, and intention I bring to my classroom every day. These experiences continue to inspire me to create high-quality, engaging resources for teachers everywhere!

My own education history

I'm a proud graduate of Sam Houston State University, Go Bearkats! 🐾 That’s where I earned my undergraduate degree and began my journey as an educator with a passion for inspiring young minds. Currently, I’m continuing my learning journey at Lamar University, where I’m pursuing my Master’s in Administrative Leadership. Go Big Red! I believe in lifelong learning and strive to bring that same spirit of growth and excellence into every resource I create.

Additional biographical information

When I’m not in the classroom or creating resources, I’m living life in my very own boy world! I’m married to my college sweetheart, we’ve been together for 14 years and married for 8, and together we’re raising three wild, wonderful little boys who keep life busy and full of love. In my free time, you can usually find me with a good book in one hand and something delicious cooking in the kitchen. Whether I’m reading, baking, or taste-testing (my favorite part!), I’m all about finding joy in the little things.
