I have experience teaching students in grades 5 through 12 in a self-contained special education classroom, covering core subjects like math, ELA, science, social studies, and life skills. I’ve worked with students with a variety of disabilities, including intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder, and I specialize in modifying curriculum to meet diverse learning needs. My approach is rooted in patience, consistency, and building strong relationships with my students to help them succeed both academically and socially. I'm passionate about creating an inclusive, supportive environment where every student feels seen and capable.

My teaching style is structured, supportive, and deeply individualized. I focus on building trust and strong relationships with my students, meeting them where they are, and helping them grow from there. I use a mix of visual supports, hands-on learning, and simplified, clear instructions to help my students with disabilities access the curriculum. I believe in consistency, patience, and celebrating even the smallest wins. I try to keep my classroom calm, predictable, and positive, with routines that help my students feel safe and confident. I also believe in staying flexible—because in special education, every day brings something new, and I’m here for it.

Master of Science in Special Education (K–12) – Currently Enrolled Maintaining a 4.0 GPA while balancing teaching full-time and family life. Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies – Completed Graduated with honors and earned a Certificate of Excellence for academic performance. My studies focused on adaptable learning, communication, and working with diverse populations.

I live in Arkansas, with my husband Jalen and our sweet son, Axxel. Being a mom is my greatest joy, and my dream is to one day work from home or be a stay-at-home mom. I’ve taught everything from 5th to 12th grade in a self-contained special education setting, but I’m passionate about 5th and 6th grade math and ELA—especially in inclusive classrooms. I’m a big believer in growth—for my students and myself. I’m still learning who I am and what lights me up, but teaching, reading, and being with my family are always at the center. I’ve been described as empathetic, passionate, and just a little bit emotionally intense (and I own that!). I love the outdoors, I value deep friendships, and I’m learning to give myself grace while chasing my goals.
