Your students will love designing and testing their own paper airplane! This activity has been used successfully in all elementary grades. Have your students measure with inches, feet, yards, or even their own steps!

Watercolor seat labels for Kagan structures. Contains red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and pink with numbers 1-4 (enough cards for 28 students). When printed and cut, these labels fit in the square adhesive pockets from Target.

Students examine the provided dictionary entry. They will answer questions about the entry and write their own sentence using one of the definitions provided.

Print on cardstock and laminate to help your students review sight words in meaningful phrases. I like to keep sets on binder rings for students to use during Guided Reading and literacy stations. You can also use these phrases as flashcards or in a game.

This cut and glue response sheet can be used to analyze the story Seven Spools of Thread. Students will cut apart the cards and determine which cards are the conflicts, which cards are the resolutions, and which card is the theme. Then, students will write their own connection to the theme of this book.

This is a fun resource to help your first and second graders put words in alphabetical order. The first page of this resource is a recording sheet that can work with any of the provided word lists, or you can create your own! The next few pages contain content-related word lists, requiring your students to alphabetize to the first or second letter.
