Teaching style
Mrs. Giese believes strongly in creating opportunities in the classroom for hands-on learning experiences. She believes in cooperative grouping, develop higher order thinking, and making real world connections to the curriculum.
Awards & shining teacher moments
Mrs. Giese has authored a piece titled "NCLB, Implications for Identifying and Teaching Gifted Students," which was published in the winter 2008 edition of the Gifted Educational Press.
She was also a nominee for the Science Teacher of Promise Award for Hillsborough county. Since retiring from the classroom to raise her family, she has authored several articles for Central Penn Parent magazine on the topic of education.
