About the store
My educational background has been a strong foundation for my career as a dedicated mathematics educator. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Delaware, followed by a Master of Arts in Teaching from Sacred Heart University, where I honed my instructional skills and developed a student-centered teaching philosophy. I later completed my Sixth-Year Certificate in Continuing Education from Augustana University, further deepening my understanding of effective teaching practices. These academic experiences have guided my work as a mathematics teacher and adjunct professor, shaping my ability to design engaging lessons, differentiate instruction for diverse learners, and foster a positive and rigorous classroom environment that supports all students’ success.

Experience

Teaching style

My teaching style is structured, interactive, and focused on building student confidence through guided practice and collaboration. I use guided class notes to lead students through new material, allowing them to follow along with examples and actively engage in the learning process. After working through core concepts together, students practice additional examples independently or in small groups to reinforce understanding and promote peer learning. I also provide extra examples for students to take home, giving them opportunities to strengthen their skills through additional practice. Each unit is built around clear core lessons supported by ongoing formative assessments to monitor progress, culminating in a summative assessment that allows students to demonstrate mastery of the topic.
