About the store

Since 2012, I have been bouncing between middle and high school English, and am now firmly planted as a 7th-12th grade librarian at a small district in Oklahoma. I love every unscheduled, wild moment as their media literacy teacher! On top of this 8 hour day, I also teach AP English (switching between Literature and Language), and now AP Computer Science Principles. Between these wild moments, I "dabble" in Student Council and try to take full advantage of our makerspace (Boss Laser and Bambu printer). It sure is good to be Mrs. Mac, in the Middle of everything!

Experience

Teaching style

I cannot get through the day without laughter, color, and the occasional giant post-it. Much of what I do is hands on and requires the whole student to be involved.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I have participated in not one but two ELA standards re-framing/writing opportunities in my state. I have served on the Sequoyah Intermediate reading committee. I have been nominated for the POE Junior High and Specialist awards. I have won the hearts of many middle school readers.
