This is an editing checklist that can be used in grades 2-4. It contains checking punctuation, capital letters, spelling, run on sentences and conferencing. This can use independently by the student.
This is a rubric that can be used to score an autobiography writing piece. Included in the grade is grammar, spelling and neatness. I broke the autobiography down into five parts: Introduction, life events, important people, mistakes and lessons and things you are proud of.

This is a chart you can use to tell students where to sit during independent reading. I put each student's name on a clothes pin and move it up and down the chart each week to change their book nooks. Students love sitting around the room while reading!
I went through the common core standards for Math Grade 3 and made an outline of the topics the students need to know. I made it into a spread sheet with three boxes under each topic. I use it to write down the students who are struggling, doing okay and get the topic. You can use this for data driven instruction.

This is an activity that the students can complete when they finish reading a book. After each book a student read I would have them fill one of them out. I would punch a hole in each paper and they would hang it up on their circle hook. At the end of the year they had the circle hook to show all the books they read during the year.

This worksheet has a poem called Predictable that is a poem of similes. I then deleted the second half of the similes and left it blank for students to come up with new words to use as similes.
