A great review resources for decimal, fraction, percent conversions! Students will work out each question and then circle the answer. Each correct answer has a task that they must complete to form their snowman. Once they are finished they can add their own personal touches to make their snowman great!
A fun, engaging way to set up and calculate solutions to word problems involving one step equations. Students will set up each word problem and then they will show their work to solve the equation. They will then circle their answer and follow those instructions in order to decorate the ornament. Even though students all follow the same directions, each ornament will still be unique!
Students will complete 9 evaluating algebraic expressions to solve and find the solution. They have 3 answer choices for each expression, only one is correct. The student will then circle the answer to the expression and it will give them the correct color for the color by number sheet. The order of operations, exponents, and evaluating expressions will need to be taught before this resource. Thanks for using my resource!
Review Algebraic Expressions by combining like terms, evaluating, using distributive property, and translating. Students will answer 10 review questions and circle their answers. The 10 answers will guide them to finish the Scarecrow Art picture. It is a fun, engaging way to help students review! It would make a great Holiday Review for Fall or Thanksgiving time!
A fun, winter themed activity for students to solve one-step equations with no negatives! Students will solve 11 one step equations, all involving whole numbers or decimals. They will then circle the answer to each problem. Ever answer instructs the students on how to decorate their snowman! This would be an excellent way to show student work and decorate for the winter!
Add a fun twist to calculating area of a triangle and finding the missing base or height! Students will answer 8 questions and circle their answers. Their answers will then be use to color a present or ornament! You can have them choose a picture, you can assign them one, or let them do both!
Engaging, Fun way to review substituting in variables with values and evaluating algebraic expressions! Prep: To play the game, students need to be in partners. The cards below will need to be cut out and placed in a stack. You will need to hand out 1 game board and 1 stack of cards to each set of partners. Each player will need 1 colored pencil or marker, they need to have different colors. Write the following on the board: a=5 b=12 c=2 d=10 e=4Directions: You will be working with a partne
Practice identifying equivalent fractions and simplifying fractions in a fun, engaging way! Students will work with a partner to compete in order to form the longest "chain" of their colored chain links. Students will take turns identifying a 2 equivalent fractions at a time and color them in with their chosen color. They will take turns going back and forth coloring in sets of equivalent fractions until time is up, or until all of the links are colored in! Please leave a review if you like thi
Students will be hands on with identifying like terms and combining them to simplify an expression. Students will first cut out all of the terms and then arrange them into columns with like terms. They will glue them into the correct column and then combine like terms to give an answer on the bottom of the page.
Algebraic Expressions Matching GamePrevious knowledge needed: exponents, order of operations, translating expressions, evaluating expressions. Three ways to Play! Before the Game: Cut out the cards and mix them up and place them in a stack with a paperclip. Game 1: Pass out 1 stack of cards to each students and the grid provided at the bottom of this page. Have the student work through the cards and make matches with 1 question and 1 answer per match. There are 12 matches. They will then glue t
A fun, engaging holiday themed math activity! Students will complete 8 questions on all 4 types of operations with decimals-add, subtract, multiply, and divide. There are a mixture of word problems and computations. After students work out the question, they will then circle their answer and decorate their egg according to the directions!
Students will practice the order of operations using exponents and parenthesis with whole, positive numbers. The students will need to work with partners to complete the activity. This would be a great math center activity also!
Students will be actively engaged in evaluating algebraic expressions by substituting in numbers they roll on each dice for the given variables. Students will need prior knowledge of exponents (squared only) and order of operations.
