If you are allowing GT students to work on their own projects independently, you need this document. It outlines you behavioral expectations for the student. The contract format helps the students take personal responsibility for his learning.
This is a self-reflection for students to do regarding their cooperative learning. They are asked to rate themselves on how their group worked together and got along. This document has two per page.

These are beginning level cards for teaching literature circle roles. I have the students belong to "book teams." The cards are printed 2 to a page. If you print on cardstock and laminate then you can use these as a center and have students write on them using vis-a-vis markers.
Using Debbie Diller's Literacy Work Station concept, I have developed a similar set-up for Math work stations. This document gives the same flexibility and options to the students as all work stations.
Based on Debbie Diller's Literacy Work Stations, this is an "I can" chart for the writing center. It lists the things students may do while at the writing station.

This includes two documents to help organize and streamline your centers. One card is a version of the "What to do if you disagree" form but designed for younger students.
The second card tells your students what to do if they do not know the answer. This set is invaluable if you are doing literacy centers and guided reading groups at the same time.
If you are trying to find a way to keep track of which centers you students are going to then this is for you. This passport combines icons and words so that all of your students may check off the day's accomplishments.
This is a behavior card with options for intermediate level students. It gives them options on how to behave. It works wonders. The real version has 2 copies per page in a "cooler" font.
This is a proposal for an alternative assignment. It will be highly useful in a GT class and it provides the chance for the teacher to make changes and help the student understand how to meet his learning goals in a structured way. Sure to inspire original ideas and personal responsibility.
