This is a list of 174 different Character Traits. So often when I was teaching I wanted a list of traits so that my students could look at the list while describing characters. This also helps students get to know and understand different character traits. Mrs. R.

This is a three page minilesson on couplets and rhyming. It explains what a couplet is, gives an example, and then the students write 7 original couplets based on colorful and fun Thanksgiving pictures. Mrs. R.

This is a booklet that can be used by students to decide which homophone to use in their writing. It also has words such as "a" and "an" and explains when to use them. This booklet can be used in a writing folder or writing center. Each word has its most common definition. All words are in alphabetical order. There is also a colorful cover. Mrs. R.

This is a unit of 25 pages of basic addition facts. I designed it to be sent home with students for summertime practice but could be used anytime. Mrs. R.

The third week in September is Farm Animals Awareness Week and this unit is intended to introduce young children to the following animals: cow, pig, horse, sheep, and chicken. There is a cover sheet in case you would like to make it into a booklet, a large color picture, a list of facts, and two to three coloring pages for each animal. This is a 12 page booklet that encourages students to write fun little poems using rhythm and rhyme. There are three examples and seven poems for students to finish and/or write. Mrs. R.

This shows what the form of a Friendly Letter looks like and lists the parts of a Friendly Letter. Use as a transparency or a handout for students. Mrs. R.
