This presentation is intended to be used while doing a phases of the moon activity using Oreo's. Each slide has the name of the moon phase, a picture of the moon in that phase and a picture of an Oreo cookie formed correctly to represent that phase.
This is a great review day activity after your students learn all about the solar system! Your students work in groups of three or four to find you when you are lost in space! They start by making a list of the planets and they get more and more information about where you are so they can eliminate planets from their list. They will need to use their understanding of distances from the sun to match up a list of the planets to their distances from the sun. They will also complete a crossword pu

The intended use for this product is for students working together in partners to discuss their work. One partner would explain their answer using the "Discussion Starters" card and the other partner would listen and respond...using the "Response" card to guide their questions.
I recommend printing and laminating enough for each pair of students to get a set of cards to use!
I created a Prezi to teach my students about the Solar System. You can view that Prezi here: https://prezi.com/view/wZMhgh3PrRPkmssgC31L This product includes the worksheet that I have my students complete while we go over the Prezi as well as the answer key for the worksheet.
I designed this product to go along with an individual clip chart. I will have my student keep an bookmark sized clip chart with a clip or a paper clip at their desk. It is used like a normal clip chart - moving up and down throughout the day based on good or bad behaviors. Each day of the week, at the end of the day, I circle on this document where they ended their day. At the end of the week, I initial it and write any comments that I need to write. This took works best as a collaboration
This is the test I give my third graders after they have learned all about the solar system. I do this the day after we complete the solar system escape room! The answer key is also included.
This is a 20 question worksheet.
Questions 1-10 are meant to be solved using expanded algorithm (arrays, area models and place value charts are suggested in the directions)
Questions 11-20 are all two digit numbers multiplied by multiples of ten. These are meant to be solved using the shortcut method.
I use this worksheet as a review for these strategies before teaching my fourth graders standard algorithm.
