About the store
Hi, I’m Chloe, also known as Mrs. Smith in the classroom. I’m a second grade teacher and a school counseling grad student based in Las Vegas. I create resources that support the whole child by focusing on academics, emotional learning, and everything in between. Whether it’s an end-of-year review packet or a small group SEL lesson, I want everything I make to feel meaningful, practical, and encouraging. In my classroom, we focus on progress over perfection. My materials reflect that mindset. You’ll find spiral review, scaffolded support, social-emotional learning, and lessons that help kids grow in their own way. I believe learning should feel like success, especially for students who need a little extra support to get there. When I’m not teaching, I’m usually writing, parenting, advocating for mental health, or cheering on my student chess players. Everything in my store is created with care and purpose. My hope is that it makes your day a little easier and helps your students feel seen and celebrated. Thanks for stopping by. I’m really glad you’re here.💛

Teaching style

My teaching style is relationship-driven and student-centered. I believe students learn best when they feel safe, seen, and supported. I focus on building a strong classroom community, encouraging independence, and weaving social-emotional learning into everything we do. I provide clear structure while staying flexible to meet the needs of each student. I help students develop confidence through voice and choice. In my classroom, you’ll hear kids cheering each other on, working together to solve problems, and using phrases like "I'm still growing" when they feel challenged. I use spiral review, collaborative learning, and real-life examples to make lessons meaningful. Humor and storytelling are also key parts of my teaching. They help students feel connected and make hard days feel a little brighter.

My own education history

I hold a Master of Science in Psychology with a specialization in Child and Adolescent Development, and I’m currently pursuing a second Master’s in School Counseling. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology with additional studies in Applied Sociology and Peer Education. I am a licensed K–8 educator and completed my teaching certification through TNTP, finishing in the top 10 percent nationwide. My background is rooted in trauma-informed practices, social-emotional learning, and cognitive behavioral strategies. I’ve worked in both general education classrooms and after-school enrichment programs, including chess coaching and student leadership development. Education changed my life, and now I’m passionate about creating resources that help students feel capable, supported, and proud of who they are—both as learners and as people.
