This graphic organizer lays out the steps required to complete the square turning a standard form quadratic equation into the vertex form. Use this formula sheet to assist students in applying financial applications to solve problems. This could also be enlarged and printed as an anchor chart for a classroom. The space that says "Look for" I have students pencil in key words that you may encounter that direct you to use that formula (such as compounded, payments/multiple deposits, deposit now, want in the future ...).
