Students will discuss various facts about the planet Venus. Students will then do a group experiment called “Phases of Venus” Materials: “Foam core, compass, scissors, small light bulb, battery, two wires with clips, ball, toothpick, screwdriver, and a pencil.”

This printout can fit on basic sized business cards and can be used as positive reinforcements for your kiddos. It says "You're a Star! You've been working hard and following directions." Pass them out to your students that are doing just that. It makes the rest of your students want a card too!

Students will be able to hear and count the syllables in two and three syllable words. (RF.K.2b) Students will be encouraged to keep their eyes on the bored and to use their listening skills.
