This is a great resource for pairing two texts together. Feel free to edit or add any section headers that work with your lesson. I am using this as a whole class activity, however, I see this working perfectly as a group activity or individual. Plenty of space for thoughts and analysis!
I prefer having a copy of the reading and the close read note taking on the same document so the students can see how their notes and questions are coming straight out of the reading and certain sections. It also appeases those organizers who prefer having their notes in a clean and orderly fashion. I've also included some reading comprehension questions and discussion questions.
