Students color and cut their own fraction strips, then use them to answer questions about fractions. Great for students who are struggling to understand fractions. Also great for teachers who don't want to buy extra fraction strips for the classroom.
This practice page is great for reteaching students how to find an unknown side length when the perimeter is given. Perfect for in or out of the classroom.
This is a pretty big document, but it is a great review of or companion to a unit on geometry. It is best used as a small booklet, copying two pages of the original document onto one 8 1/2 x 11 page. The booklet covers: solid figures [cones, pyramids, rectangular prisms, cylinders and spheres]; lines and angles [point, line segment, ray, intersecting, perpendicular and parallel lines, obtuse, acute and right angles]; congruent shapes; slides, flips and turns.
Use this simple flipbook to give students a chance to show what they know about the author's purpose for writing. The booklet uses the PIE acronym for teaching purpose (Persuade Inform Entertain).
A quick worksheet to check for understanding money amounts. Students total 2 sets of coins then compare them using >, < or =. The front of the worksheet uses the coin "heads" while the back uses only the "tails."
This short and simple game with dice is a great way to help students practice repeated addition. This resource works as a teaching tool, a math center or as a fun review. Your students will love it!
This worksheet covers the very basics of fractions - equal parts of a whole. After a brief introduction to the concept, students have the opportunity to complete some of their own.
This very simple flipbook is a great tool for coin identification. Students can cut and color each page, then practice some counting on at the end. Great for introduction, review and ESL.
Students can use these 2 pages to review or practice finding the fraction of a set. Can be used as homework, classwork, formative or cumulative assessment.
This graphic organizer helps students create a character for a writing piece. It can also be used with an existing story to map the changes a character goes through.
I used this class book to help students understand the various features of an informational text. Students did research and then filled in the pages for individual animals. When all was said and done, we had a 40 page book all about animals.
