I find that indoor recess stations help take the frustration out of being stuck inside during inclement weather. Keep your students sitting, quiet, and focused on some of these fun activities and save yourself the headache! Many of these activities are great for developing fine motor skills and give your students some practice in art, which is frequently cut out of our curriculum. Let them get creative while it rains or snows!

I use some of these multiple times a day with a wide variety of students and they never fail to work. Too often I see new teachers unable to quickly and quietly transition kids from desks to rugs to lines and down the hall. Transitions can make or break your day.
