I am an elementary educator as well as a teacher of the deaf/hard of hearing. I have taught in public and private school settings in grades Pre-K through 5th in the classroom, in both general education and special education settings. Penguin Patterns SMARTboard Activity
This is a SMARTboard Activity that lets students practice their patterning skills. Each slide has two-three patterns on it. Students can select the right penguin from the bottom of the slide to complete the pattern. There are 17 patterns in all.

This is a math activity where students count the number of penguin and match the correct numeral to the number of penguins they counted. This activity would be a good center activity or circle time activity for preschoolers. It would also be good reinforcement for special education students.

Experience
I am an elementary educator as well as a teacher of the deaf/hard of hearing. Teaching style
I believe children learn best when engaged in the learning process. I am also a firm believer in technology, as this often motivates students to learn more.

My own education history
I received my bachelor's degree in elementary education from Grand Canyon University and my master's degree in deaf/hard of hearing special education from Lewis and Clark College.
