I taught Algebra 1 to junior students for 7 years, Algebra 2/College Algebra/AP Calculus/Statistics at high school for 9 years. The high school I teach at is an Early College High School which is also a New Tech school which focuses on using problem based learning and project based learning while integrating technology. My projects will include a technology component, but my notes typically do not.

Students research buying a car and then do an analysis to make the choice of the best deal. Also included is an activity on savings accounts to work on regular compounding interest equations.

Guided Notes: Operations of Functions including composition
These guided notes go through the operations of functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide, and composition). The notes are in a format that the paper folds in half with the first thumbnail as the outside cover and the inside is the notes with 8 examples (also makes it so if you want to make additional problems, they can be added to the back). An answer key is provided.

Awards & shining teacher moments
I have presented the Car Project and the Cable vs Satellite Project at International New Tech conferences. I have also presented with a group at local, state and international technology conferences on having students making a podcast explaining how to do a math concept.
My own education history
I have my Bachelors degree from University of North Texas in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Mathematics. I have my Masters degree from Texas State University in Mathematics with a minor in Education.
