With the help of my librarian and the American Library Association, student chose books that were once banned or challenged to read over the course of three weeks to a month. This is a weekly spelling vocabulary and root word packet. There is space for 10 spelling vocabulary words and 3 root words. Students can use the packet to learn vocabulary explicitly and practice root words. Students write "strong" sentences -- using vocabulary words in ways to show they understand the meaning, not just simply inserting into a random sentence.
