These templates will allow you to use manipulatives and the "count on" strategy to find the sum of two numbers (friends of 10). Then you can use the number bond to teach students how to find all the sums and differences in the fact family.

This is a template to use with students for creating tape diagrams. Lines, callouts, labels, and text boxes are all moveable so you can model how to create a tape diagram to represent the problem you are working on. Share with students and have them work together or independently!
