This is a great activity to use when teaching genre. Students are to pick 4 genres, illustrate them, and describe them on one piece of paper. Great way to integrate art into a lesson and have students really show how well they know different literary genres.

This is a GREAT way to differentiate at the end of a unit when students will be creating final projects. Students need to choose 2 activities from the menu that equal 100 points- either two 50 point projects, or one 20 point project and one 80 point project. The projects vary by difficulty according to the point value. You can always come up with a different point value for EC or AIG students as well.
Literature circles are a great way to get students engaging with a text. In this PDF there is an explanation of each job, 5 different job sheets- one for each group member, and a recording sheet to keep track of which students will perfom which job. The jobs focus on vocabulary, figurative language, summarizing, illustrating, and group management.
This is a great way to differentiate projects for different learning levels and styles at the end of a unit. Students are required to complete 2 different projects from the 3 different categories (20 point projects, 50 point projects, and 80 point projects), and their 2 projects must equal 100 points.
In this PDF bundle you will find a ch. 1-5 study guide, blank multiple choice/matching test covering important elements of chapters 1-5, and a test key.
