This fact card set is based off an assessment system from my last school district. The product also includes an editable letter to families, which explains fact fluency & how they can help their kids at home. This is a small pack of resources to use for small groups (what I call expert groups) to reflect on their work and presentations. Attached, are questions to answer, rubrics for speaking & listening, and an extra credit worksheet to complete with families. I am a big believer in asking students to reflect on their own work and really "own" their learning in the classroom. -Cassandra

This ppt is a breakdown of different prefixes and suffixes with sentences.

The first page has sentence starters for Questioning, Commenting (compliments), and Coaching for writing partners to use when they meet to revise/edit and help each other. It's especially important for ELL's to have sentence starters, in order to have access to participation. My third graders ALL have used this scaffold and worked without my help. It's been amazing. Also attached, on page 2, is an exit slip. Since both are in Mic Word, you can easily adapt them to fit you & your students' needs.

I made this self reflection for the first 6 weeks of school with my high schoolers (ESL) but could be used for any grades- I'd recommend between grade 2 and up to 12.

This collaborative partner interview could be used with elementary dual-language students or with ELD pre-emergent.
