Hi! I’m a 5th grade special education teacher at a charter school in New York City. I create resources that are engaging, standards-aligned, and designed with all learners in mind. With a strong focus on supporting students with varying needs and learning styles, I strive to make content that’s both accessible and effective — whether you’re teaching in a general ed classroom, a special education setting, or anywhere in between. I’ve seen firsthand how the right tools can boost confidence and success, especially when prepping for high-stakes assessments!

Teaching style

My teaching style centers around giving students a voice, offering choices, and creating opportunities for collaboration. I believe learning should be interactive and empowering. When students feel heard and have ownership over their learning, they’re more engaged and confident. Whether it's through partner work, group discussions, or differentiated assignments, I aim to build a classroom culture where every student feels valued and supported.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I hold certifications in Childhood Education (Grades 1–6) and Students with Disabilities (Grades 1–6), which reflect my passion for reaching learners at every stage. One of my proudest moments as a teacher was being recognized for my ability to build strong, meaningful connections with students — a skill that not only supports academic success but helps foster confidence and a love of learning.

My own education history

I have a Bachelor of Science in Inclusive Elementary and Special Education from Syracuse University and a Master of Arts in Developmental Disabilities from Columbia University Teachers College. I have also received a verified certificate from HarvardX in Leaders of Learning.
