Teaching style
I am a strong proponent of meaningful experiential education that reaches students wherever they are in their educational journey. My teaching emphasizes engaging, real-world and outdoor connections (often through gamification of curricula), so students can see themselves as positive agents of change in the context of the broader world.

Additional biographical information
My teaching is informed by years of real-world experience working in digital and broadcast media for Discovery Channel Canada, Corus Entertainment (History Channel Canada, National Geographic Canada), and The Globe & Mail (national newspaper). I believe the strongest teaching connects learners to the real world, each other, and themselves through experiential learning.
