This project has student read a short passage on the History of Tie Dye and answer a few simple comprehension questions. Next they are asked to go to a website and write down the steps to tie dye and materials needed. In their own words. Students then are asked to find 5 tips to tie dyeing online and write them down. Next students write down how to create a spiral design, and draw a picture. They are given a website to go to, to find another design to write the steps for. Finally students ar

Verb Scavenger Hunt. Print 18 cards and put them around the room. Students get an answer sheet. They must find all the cards and identify the verb or verbs in the sentence and write it on the correct numbered line.

This is a simple sheet to collect important information about your students for the beginning of the year. Several themes to chose from. Questions include, name, DOB, nickname, address, parent 1 and parent 2 contact, who lives at home, preferred method of contact, allergies/medical conditions, do you have a place at home for homework, anything the teacher should know.

All but the "groups" posters have 6 mini posters to a page so you can print and hand them to students. Students can leave them on their desk during the test or glue them into an interactive notebook.
