This project has student read a short passage on the History of Tie Dye and answer a few simple comprehension questions. Next they are asked to go to a website and write down the steps to tie dye and materials needed. In their own words. Students then are asked to find 5 tips to tie dyeing online and write them down. This is comprehension questions for chapters 1-4. Some chapters have accompanying additional texts such as the Overseas Highway. And accompanying activities like a limeade recipe.

Verb Scavenger Hunt. Print 18 cards and put them around the room. Students get an answer sheet. They must find all the cards and identify the verb or verbs in the sentence and write it on the correct numbered line.
