This is a PowerPoint geared to helping middle school students prepare for on demand writing and the writing portion of state tests. It is simple and to the point so students can better understand. Students enjoyed coming up to the board for the practice parts to actually circle, underline, and box the correct answer.

This power point can be used in a class to help review and improve students' thesis statement writing. This was used after students had worked on thesis statements but still struggled when writing them on their own. It also provides tips for expanding on writing.
