Here are a few items to welcome kids back to school after a great summer break. Because I didn't have the wall space to displace the huge posters of "All About Me", I decided to create my own. My students loved each and everyone. CCSS will also apply to these as students use creativity in writing responses.

I created these cute posters to accompany the Shurley jingles. Each contains a sentence example that illustrates the part of speech. They are regular sized so you can copy them for students to keep in a notebook.

These card are a comprehensive set (63 pages) of both prefixes and suffixes with a good start of base words. I have used these in conjunction with Pinnel and Fountas Nifty Thrifty Fiftyword building ideas. I looked everywhere to find cards that I could use in my pocket chart and could not find any. You know I love simple. In this easy to run packet in which I simply run from my copier with our without color, I laminate each sheet and students simply place the sheet in a Dollar Tree cookie sheet pan as they use magnets to build the words.
