This product has been designed specifically to prepare students for the Algebra 1 SOL in Virginia. It includes questions similar to the latest released test questions. It is not a complete Algebra 1 review, it only contains the questions emphasized in the last released SOL test.
Students will have fun being creative with this winter picture practice! Students will need to find the slope from a graph and from two ordered pairs. Zero and Undefined slopes are included. The slopes from a graph start with points plotted on the line and then moves to lines where students have to find their own points. The slope between two points starts with only positive coordinates and moves to slopes that have negative coordinates and slopes that have to be simplified after using the slo
Students will practice transformations of lines by determining how the slope and y intercept changes the graph. This resource can be adapted for stations or for task cards. A recording sheet is included
This activity is to practice the order of operations with exponents and square roots. The picture can double as something to hang on your word wall or just hang it up to reinforce the order of operations!
Students will solve multi step inequalities and use their answers to create their own under the sea picture. This is specifically intended to practice for the Algebra 1 Virginia SOL but ca be used in any algebra 1 course for extra practice. If students are hesitant to draw, you could download this into a google slide presentation and have students find clip art to match each prompt!
Students will match graphs to equations for systems of linear inequalities and they will find shaded regions for systems of linear inequalities. After matching to the correct answer they will use their solutions to color a cute turtle picture!
Self checking evaluating expressions practice. Students solve 10 problems with substitution and then they find their answer on the back. Students then draw an emoji in the answer box to show that they checked their answer
Students walk around the room looking at different graphs to determine which ordered pairs are solutions to the system of inequalities. Linear, quadratic and absolute value inequalities are included.
This product contains one example and one practice problem for each regression. Line of best fit and curve of best fit. Linear and quadratic regression.
This activity is intended to practice transformations of rational functions. Students will look at 4 different representations, an equation, a table, a graph and a list of the transformations and asymptotes. They have to pick which representation doesn't match the other four and then correct the mistake.
This product will have students solve a math mystery uncovering clues from solving quadratics and factoring. This is intended to prepare students for the Algebra 1 SOL exam.
This resource is intended to practice the exponents and radicals skill for Algebra 1 in the Virginia SOLs. It motivates students to check their own work by drawing accessories or hairstyles on an emoji.
