2018: Awarded Beginning Teacher of the Year at Title 1 High School. 2021: Honored as Title 1 High School Teacher of the Year. 2022: Appointed Media Art District Co-lead of High Schools. 2022: Co-presented Media Art at NCAEA. 2023: Presented "Empowering Educators: Levitate, Innovate, and Augment Art in the Classroom" at SECCA. 2023: Appointed as a director on the board for NAMAE.

My own education history

I earned my BA in Art from Radford University, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude. That achievement laid the foundation for my career as an educator and artist. My academic journey provided me with a deep appreciation for both the theoretical and practical aspects of art, which I strive to impart to my students every day. I am currently earning my master's in Design and Instruction.

In addition to my teaching and leadership roles, I am an accomplished graphic designer and photographer. My work has been featured in various exhibitions, and I am passionate about using my skills to empower others.
