Need a form to document your RTI groups? This form is great, especially for students you are trying to get staffed and have to provide documentation of interventions. I commonly use this form for MRT meetings on my students.

Exit tickets are a great way to monitor understanding. I use this form at the end of a lesson and have the student answer the Essential Question. They then highlight or circle the number of stars that match their understanding of the standard. I then use these as a quick teach tool in my guided reading groups.

I don't know about you, but the curriculum guides can get confusing to look at. I have to color coat everything I do. This is the lesson plan template that I use for my fourth grade lessons. It has all the subjects for an ELA teacher for the day on one form.

This is a great tool to use for writing conferences with students. It can easily be pasted in their writing journal to look back on whenever they are working on their writing. Also, incorporate the writing rubric to get them working towards a better paper!

Compass buddies are a great way to group your students. Have them fill in who they want for their north, south, east, and west buddy and when it's time to partner up students it's simple! Math teachers can use clock buddies for their students and Reading/Social Studies teachers can use compass buddies.

Use this to help teach context clues and "figuring out" an unfamiliar word!

When my students take an assessment, I have them check off their test checklist. This is a great tool for those students who rush their work or who forget steps to taking an assessment. If they turn in their test and they did not check off an item or put an X instead of a check mark, I have them go back and try to complete that item on the checklist in their test. I then have them glue it to the back of their test so I can see if they completed it.

This is a tool I use for my ESE students or students who are really struggling with staying focused with the correct format. I use this for a few prompts so they will get use to the process. Then, I have them start writing on their own.

My students use this to help them find text features in a text. When they write in the "How does it help" column, they have to say explicitly how that text feature helped in that specific text.
