This worksheet helps students understand the differences & similarities between photosynthesis & cellular respiration. It has them color various parts of the connected cycles (such as coloring arrows that show water blue, carbon dioxide red, etc.). After coloring, it has students put the "ins" & "outs" of each cycle into a table. I typically have students copy that table down in their notebooks as notes.

This is the lab sheet/guide I created to dissect owl pellets. It has simplified instructions, a bone counting chart, post-lab questions about body systems, and a mouse skeleton on the back page. Some pellets contain small birds, but I've only ever gotten mice. I did this lab during an anatomy unit to prepare for mammal dissections, but this lab would be great during an ecosystem unit- just change the post-lab questions to ask about food chains, consumers, etc.

This worksheet helps students recognize how infections spread from person to person. They must read through descriptions of 9 people & connect each person to the next to figure out the path of the virus. They must figure out who "patient zero" is. I also have students highlight extra information, unsanitary actions, & healthy habits. There is no answer key, but the order of infected is: Jessica, Max, Amanda, Carrie, Marcie, Jacquelyn, Troy, Kyle, Alan Therefore Jessica is patient zero.

This worksheet has students calculate how many macromolecules are in various foods based off their nutrition fact labels. Students just have to multiply the fats/lipids x 9, carbohydrates x 4, proteins x 4. To extend this, you could always have students highlight the macromolecules in the labels. Or you could bring in real food labels to have students work with.
