Students will go to a card with a character on it and simplify a trigonometric expression to one of the primary or inverse trigonometric functions. They will then find the next card that has that answer on it. Involves double angle identities. Can be used for Canadian Pre-Calculus courses.
This flipchart for Promethean Boards (or can be converted for Smart Boards) introduces the concept of the Chain Rule in Calculus. It has worked through examples for students to see when the Chain Rule is needed, as well as thoroughly described and solved examples. Includes an example (solved) that also used the Quotient Rule. This lesson can easily be converted to PDF for printing or teaching, see attached Demo for how PDF of slides looks. This is perfect for high school calculus courses.
Includes a description of the parameters a, h, and k for a transformed equation of a basic parabola. A color coded diagram is included to show the effects of the transformations.
