This download includes vocabulary for each chapter of the book. I have created a student study guide as well as a test. I grouped them by every 3 chapters (1 to 3, 4 to 6, 7 to 9, and 10 to 12). All you need to do is print and send home/use in class. The lists can also easily be turned into a spelling list too, in the event you want to test not only vocabulary but also spelling of the words. If you want to make any changes please let me know, I will send the word doc format free of charge to you
Here is a chapter by chapter vocabulary guide to use with students during shared, guided, or independent. I used each guide as a preview for the chapter. We reviewed the definitions and then when I came across the word in the text the students yelled "stop" and we recorded the page in which it was found on. I then had students use their words in various center activities with writing or grammar work especially. There is also a vocabulary study guide for the second half of the book and two tests
I used this system in my class beginning in January to increase practice of skills for the state tests given in March. It was a huge success! This item includes the letter I sent home to parents/gaurdians and the Raffle tickets I used. You can create your own packets that focus on whatever skills you worked on all year so it can be used in any classroom!
This document can be included in your welcome back letter and/or posted around the room for your students to view all year. Sends a great message!
Print and sign each page or add a signature line for a more personalized approach!!

I use this form to keep constant record of my guided reading groups. I hold punch and keep everything in a binder. This is an easy tool not only for yourself but for when it comes time for parent conferences or progress monitoring meetings with your administration!
